The community is invited to come out and join both fire and police officers on this special day of remembrance. A flag raising ceremony will begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by a short memorial service. Immediately following the memorial service, a pancake breakfast will be served by Goodyear Firefighters. Donations will be accepted. All donations will go to the United Goodyear Firefighters Charities which go directly back into our community. Charities include: New Life Center, West Valley Food Bank, Homeless Youth Connection, AZ Burn Foundation/Camp, JJs Giant Heart, and Forever Courage House. There will also be displays/demonstrations such as Drug K-9, Emergency Extrication (car cut open), K-9 Obedience, a CPR Demonstration, Station T-shirt sales, 9-11 Memorial T-shirt sales, and raffles/prizes.
