Community Funding Process
Community Funding Program
The City of Goodyear Community Funding program provides direct monetary grants to non-profit agencies and organizations that provide health, human services and quality of life programs to Goodyear residents.
Application submittals for 2013-14 are now OPEN
. Applications are due back to the City of Goodyear by March 22, 2013 by 5 PM

A complete application includes:
- 2013-14 City of Goodyear Community Funding Application
- 2013-14 City of Goodyear Community Funding Worksheet
- Proof of IRS federal tax-exempt status, dated within the last five years
- A cover letter, no longer than one page in length, introducing the City Council to your Board of Directors and/or key staff
City staff will perform a technical review of each application to determine completeness and ensure the applicant is eligible as a non-profit agency. All eligible applications will be forwarded to a City Council subcommittee for further review and ranking. Sub-committee recommendations will be forwarded to the full City Council for final approval. Award recipients should receive funding in July 2013
. All applicants will be notified regarding the status of their application before the end of June
There is a limited amount of funding available. The City cannot fund requests from religious organizations. The service, program or project should be one that is not replicated by the City or another organization/business in Goodyear. This program cannot grant funds to individuals.
If you received a Community Funding Award for 2012-13 and you need to submit your Six-Month Evaluation Report, the deadline has been extended to April 1, 2013. Here are links to the 2012-13 reports:
All award recipients are required to submit a Six-Month and a 12-Month Evaluation Report stating how the funds are being used to achieve the goals stated in their application.
