What if disaster strikes?

·     Prepare

·     Respond

·     Recover!

Citizens have come to expect that when they report an emergency, help will arrive immediately. But in the event of a major disaster, first responders will be overwhelmed with the number of individual emergencies. It's important that citizens know how to be self sufficient for a minimum of 72 hours, or until help does arrive. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a free course providing citizens with comprehensive training in disaster preparedness and response.

If you're interested in becoming a CERT member, sign up for the next class today!

·          Classes are open to interested residents or people working in the City of Goodyear over the age of 18.

·          To sign up, please send an email to Goodyear CERT or call the Goodyear Fire Department Administrative Offices at 623-932-2300 for more information.

For more information on CERT and other Emergency Management learning opportunities, visit the Arizona Division of Emergency Management website.
